Dr. Muhammad Saleh

Dr. Muhammad Saleh is a board-certified periodontist, a Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and one of the most published researchers in implant dentistry today, with more than 140 peer-reviewed papers. When the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration set the guidelines for preventing and treating disease around dental implants, he was a lead author. He also served on the first Global Consensus for Clinical Guidelines in Implant Dentistry, and led one of the reviews its recommendations rest on.

He lectures around the world and is Co-Course Director at the Misch Implant Institute, where dentists and surgeons travel to learn implant surgery from him.

His path here is unusual. He trained as a dentist and surgeon in Cairo and practiced for eight years before starting over: an implant diploma in Germany, post-doctoral training at Michigan, then his periodontics residency and master's at the University of Louisville. He holds a PhD and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
