These terms apply to the website and to the text messaging service of Eastern Washington Implants and Periodontics, operated by Abdullah Alkanan BDS PLLC and Alkanan BDS PLLC, with offices in Kennewick, Walla Walla, and Yakima, Washington.

Using this website

The information on this website is general information about our practice and the treatments we provide. It is not dental or medical advice and it is not a substitute for being examined by a clinician. Do not delay seeking care because of something you read here.

Visiting this website or contacting us through it does not by itself make you a patient of the practice. A treating relationship begins when you are seen and accepted for care.

Results vary

Where this site describes outcomes, recovery times or timelines, those are typical ranges based on our experience — not guarantees. Individual results depend on your anatomy, your general health, how you heal, and how treatment is maintained afterwards. Any photographs of treatment results show specific patients and are not a promise of what can be achieved in your case.

SMS Terms

Eastern Washington Implants and Periodontics offers a text messaging service to patients of the practice.

What we send. If you agree to receive text messages from us, we may send you messages about your care, your appointments, following up after treatment, and scheduling. We send these messages only to people who are already patients of the practice.

We do not send marketing for anyone else. We do not use this text messaging service to advertise, promote, or send messages on behalf of any other company or third party. Every message comes from our practice and concerns your care with us.

How you agree. You give your agreement verbally when you schedule an appointment with us by phone. Our staff ask your permission before adding your mobile number, and record your agreement in your patient record. Agreeing to receive text messages is never a condition of receiving treatment.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. These are charged by your mobile carrier and not by us.

Frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on your care and your appointments.

Stopping messages. Reply STOP to any message at any time and we will stop sending them. You can also call any of our offices and ask us to remove your number.

Getting help. Reply HELP to any message, or call our offices, and a member of our team will assist you.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy. We do not sell or share your SMS opt in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your information

Health information you share with us is protected under HIPAA and under Washington state law. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Content and ownership

The text, photographs, videos, logos and design of this site belong to Eastern Washington Implants and Periodontics or to the parties who licensed them to us. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish, resell or reproduce the content commercially without our written permission.

Links to other sites

We link to third-party sites — Google Maps, Vimeo, financing companies and others — for your convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, their accuracy, or how they handle your information.

Availability and accuracy

We work to keep this site accurate and up to date, but we don't warrant that everything on it is complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be available. We may change or remove content at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, and any dispute arising from them will be handled in the courts of Benton County, Washington.
