Instead of one implant for every missing tooth, we place four to six implants in the jaw and anchor one solid row of teeth across them. In most cases you arrive in the morning with failing teeth or a denture and go home that afternoon with a fixed set of teeth you can smile with. Dentists call this All-on-X. Patients usually call it getting their life back.
The teeth are fixed — they do not come out at night, they do not slip when you eat or talk, and nothing covers the roof of your mouth. Only we remove them, at your check-ups, to clean underneath.
A periodontist is a dentist who trained for three further years in the gum and bone that implants live in. Dr. Abdullah Alkanan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and teaches periodontics at Pacific Northwest University's dental school in Yakima. Full-arch cases are the most demanding implant work there is — bone, gums, bite and appearance all have to be planned together — and that is exactly what the specialty is built for.
Your teeth will only last as long as the bone and gum around them. That is the part a periodontist is trained to assess, build and protect.

We can't put a real number on a webpage, because the honest answer depends on what your exam and 3D scan show. What we can promise is that you'll get a written treatment plan with an exact figure on it before you commit to anything. No surprises added later.
Most patients have some insurance coverage, and we'll check yours and tell you what it will and won't pay. For the balance, we work with three financing companies so you can spread the cost over time — many patients qualify for plans with no interest if paid within the promotional period.
